EXPERIENCE: Served as Department Head on offshore semi-sub ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Marine Superintendent. Has overall command & control of the installation in an emergency. Has the overriding authority and the responsibility to make decisions with respect to safety and pollution prevention. Must be fully committed to working safely. To ensure all personnel are aware of and work safely following Stena Drilling Policies and Procedures. Ensure compliance with local goverment requirements. Daily discuss requirements with Operators Reps, Stena Supervisors, Service Company, Onshore Rig Manager and Onshore Operator. Ensure compliance with Stena Drilling Permit to Work System. Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of STOP system. Work closely with Marine Superintendent in planning and executing Marine operations and operational contingencies. Ensure the certification of Stena personnel (in conjunction with the Training Dept) is in date and valid for their work. Establish a Safety Committee, arrange elections of Safety Reps and hold regular meetings. Stopping any job if it is unsafe or if the job is not going according to plan. Co-ordinate the activities of departments under the control of the Barge Master, Chief Engineer, Snr Toolpusher, Catering Manager, including all Operator and Service Company Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential - Time served Electronic Technician / ETO with ONC qualifcation or equivalent. Desirable - HNC
EXPERIENCE: Essential - Previous experience as an Electronic Technician on semi-sub drilling rigs or drillships. Desirable - Experience of kongsberg DP / SVC, Cameron controls, NOV cyberbase drilling control systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include but are not limited to: Must be fully committed to working safely and to accepting responsibility for the safety of fellow crew members.
Individually responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, testing and fault finding of electronic systems, controls and equipment onboard Stena Drilling Rigs/Vessels. Ensure a working knowledge of Drilling Control, Dynamic Positioning, Vessel Control and BOP MUX Systems. Ensure a working knowledge of Software Control in relation to Rig Based Control and Automation Systems. Ensure familiarity with electronic systems and equipment in order to safely comply with instructions given in emergency situations. Ensure that electronic system repair work is carried out in a safe and proper manner and to acceptable standards of quality. Ensure that all electronic systems maintenance is carried out in a timely manner and entered into the TAG maintenance database. Inform OIM / DPOs of all matters affecting DP System reliability / availability. Report equipment and system failures to the Chief Electrician/user departments.

Control the budget within the drilling department.
Ensure the installation has adequate supplies for drilling and maintenance of drilling equipment.

Carry out periodic appraisals of drilling personnel.
Assess and monitor drilling department relief personnel.
Keep the OIM informed in all matters of significance within the drilling department.

Verify that Operators Instructions and drilling programmes do not conflict with Stenas Environmental Policy.

Regulatory and Classification Requirements
Verify the validity of the drilling personnel well control certificates.
Ensure the BOPs are pressure tested on a frequency in line with the requirements of the Stena Drilling Well Control Manual.
Liaise with Maintenance and Marine departments to ensure all drilling equipment conforms to Stenas Certification Control Procedure.

EXPERIENCE: Experience as Barge Master on a drilling or comparable offshore vessel unit or experience as a Watchkeeper including a working knowledge of ballast control systems
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to OIM. Must be fully committed to working safely and be responsible for the safe working practices of the crew. Must be fully committed to preventing damage to the environment and shall work in accordance with Stena Drillings H S & E Policy and Procedures. Ensure full implementation of the STOP system, to include the careful monitoring of the crew and the taking part in daily STOP audits as instructed by the OIM. Ensure crew understands the STOP system and fully participate in this system. Assist the OIM in identifying jobs which may require a risk assessment. Participate with crew in risk assessments.
Supervise safety drills and emergency team training. Where there is no appointed safety officer on the installation, to act as safety officer and be responsible for the maintenance of all safety equipment. Organise the workload of the deck crew. Maintain installation on location during drilling operations. Supervise stability, stability calculations and ballast operations, and maintain the watertight integrity. Supervise loading and unloading operations. Supervise the COSHH data and the implementation of COSHH aboard the rig. Ensure safe stowage of hazardous materials (including radioactive sources, explosives etc.). Control HLO operations. Inspect and maintain all lifting appliances and keep register of all lifting equipment up to date. Maintain the marine certification and paperwork and ensure that it is kept in date. Maintain marine planned maintenance including all marine, fire fighting, and lifesaving equipment. Ensure Marine and Control Room logs are maintained correctly.
Comply with the Permit to Work System. Control budget within his own area of responsibility. To participate in the Stena Drilling Competence Assurance Scheme. Shall act as Ships Security Officer under the auspices of the ISPS code.

Ensure that all electrical maintenance is carried out in a timely manner and entered into the TAG Maintenance Database. Maintain / repair equipment to adequate standards of quality and workmanship. Report equipment failures and safety related matters to the Chief Electrician / User Departments. Health & Safety Capable of identifying electrical hazards and any work requiring Risk Assessment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be fully committed to working safely in accordance with Stena Drillings Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and procedures, and be responsible for the safe working practices of his crew. Supervise the correct assembly, operation, maintenance, testing and disconnection of the subsea blowout preventer and related equipment. Maintain and repair heave compensating equipment. Maintain subsea running and retrieving tools and supervise the running and retrieving of all subsea equipment. Maintain Planned Maintenance requirements in area of responsibility. Ensure all modifications, breakdowns, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of subsea equipment has been entered into the TAG system. Ensure the installation has adequate supplies for the maintenance of subsea equipment. Advise the Senior Toolpusher of any impending downtime/ equipment failure. Ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility. Calculate ton cycles for tensioner wires (if applicable), implementing and recording slip and cut programme. Prepare BOP test reports. Adhere to Subsea Budget. Be aware of Contract and Re Bills from Subsea Equipment.
DRILLER
QUALIFICATION: Must be in possession of a valid Well Control BOP Certificate.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be fully committed to working safely and be responsible for the safe working practices of the crew. Fully committed to preventing damage to the environment and work in accordance with Stena Drilling H S& E policy and procedures. Ensure full implementation of STOP system and participate in daily STOP audits. Ensure crew understands the STOP system and participates in this system. Identifying jobs which may require risk assessment and crew participate. Hold weekly safety meetings for drill crew and that drilling crew have appropriate safety training. Ensure that the drill floor crew keep a clean and clear place of work. Perform drilling operations, check and supervise all drilling equipment. Monitor the well for any abnormal conditions. Organise and increase the efficiency of drill floor personnel. Check drilling programmes and calculations supplied by Operator. Ensure compliance with permit to work systems. Participate in the Stena Drilling Competence Assurance Scheme.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current IWCF well control certificate.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a Driller and previous experience on a similar installation.
SPECIAL APTITUDES: Self motivated and competent in man management.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Control all Drilling Operations and other interrelated activities being performed during his shift in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure the Drilling Operations are carried out as defined in the approved Operators Instructions and Drilling Programme, and the operation is executed in accordance with Stenas Drilling Operation manual and RSWMs. Report directly to the Senior Toolpusher any deviations from approved Operators Instructions or Drilling programme. Manage and monitor the execution of the Planned Maintenance System within the Drilling Department. Ensuring that all maintenance carried out on drilling equipment has been entered into the TAG system. Maintain the tubular inventory. Prepare Drilling Reports. Check instructions, programmes and calculations supplied by Operator. Provide relief for the Driller as required. Supervise the running and retrieving of all subsea equipment. Advise the Senior Toolpusher of any impending downtime. Ensure Drillers are familiar with space-out and shut-in procedure. Check the accuracy of kick sheets and monitor trip sheets.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 4th class motor certificate of competency (2nd class preferred) or recognised qualification in mechanical engineering.
EXPERIENCE: Rig mechanic on semi submersible units or drillships.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Undertake duties as allocated by Chief Engineer/Chief Mechanic, undertake operational maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the rig. Perform watchkeeping duties, advise on spare gear requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: Class 1 or Class 2 (Deck) Certificate of Competency. DP Certificate.
EXPERIENCE: Have adequate knowledge and experience of drilling vessel/rig operations whilst in DP mode. Have previously served on a DP drilling vessel or have undergone supervised training up to the required standard. Have held a position as a DP Operator and has suitable experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Barge Master. Responsible for providing full DP cover and watch keeping when the rig is in DP mode also to include a. Monitor and provide the relevant information to the Rig marine Management on rig DP equipment and DP operational issues. b. In conjunction with Rig Marine Management prepare and assist in completion of relevant documentation and logs as required. c. Ensure all DP equipment is fully functional and fully maintained as per the Company requirements. Responsible for the monitoring and upkeep of HPR transponders and taut wire systems. Ensure full understanding of the STOP system and full participation in this system. DP Operator, Watchkeeper when rig in DP or in conventional mode. Responsible for the safe operation of the shift in charge of the DP Operation unless relieved by the Barge Master / Engineer. Responsible for safe navigation and conduct of the vessel as a watchkeeper when not in DP. Monitor and control all rig movements whilst in DP and closely monitor rigs position and DP status paying particular attention to position maintenance, sensors, thruster response and performance and available power whilst drilling operations are being conducted.
QUALIFICATIONS: Marine Certificate. Class 2 revalidated. STCW 95. GMDSS revalidated. Stability 3 Cert. For DP MODUs and Drillships - Unlimited DP Certificate.
EXPERIENCE: Offshore supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Barge Master. Monitor personnel to ensure safe work practices are followed and that the correct PPE is used. Stopping any job if it appears unsafe or if the job is not going according to plan. Crane Operator, Control Room Operator, Radio Operator, (and DP) report to Barge Engineer during shift. Promote Stena Drillings HS&E Policy and Procedures to all personnel. On Scene Commander during an emergency, until the Barge Master arrives at scene. Monitor weather conditions and rig position. Ensure all lifting equipment is safe for use and colour coded. Maintain an up to date register of equipment and follow quarantine procedures. Ensure that lifting & rigging operations, supply boat and deck lifts are controlled and carried out safely. Lift Plans, risk Assessments and Procedures are strictly followed, complying with LOLER. Crane Operations are carried out within the Operational parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS: Time-served Engineer.
EXPERIENCE: Suitable experience as Hydraulic Eng/Rig Mechanic on Semi Submersible rigs.
DUTIES: Must be fully committed to working safely and to accepting responsibility for the safety of fellow crew members. Must be fully committed to preventing damage to the environment and shall work in accordance with Stena Drillings H S & E Policy and Procedures. Ensure full understanding of the STOP system and full participation in this system. Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a risk assessment. Participate along with Supervisor in risk assessments. Competent hose crimper. Comply with the Company Safety Policy and Permit to Work/Isolation Systems. Responsible primarily for the maintenance of heavy cranes and derrick (when installed) and other hydraulic deck/drilling equipment. May also be required to give assistance as required by the Chief Engineer in other areas of the Mechanical Department. Must be familiar with hydraulic machinery and systems under his control. Monitoring performance of hydraulic equipment in operation on a daily basis. Daily supervision of all hydraulic equipment power units, tank levels etc.. Assist with survey work as required by the Chief Engineer. Advise the Chief Engineer of spare gear requirements. Report any faults to the Chief Engineer. To participate in the Stena Drilling Competence Assurance Scheme.
