The drilling unit is presently
capable of drilling operations in up to 8,100 ft water depth with
a drilling capacity of 30,000 ft. The Stena Tay has a SBOP capability
for a water depth of 10,000 ft.
The drilling unit is equipped with many innovative features including
the hydraulic drilling mast and off-line stand building system.
The handling system reduces the level of human intervention, thus
providing a safer work environment.
STENA TAY is capable of carrying all its equipment on deck for transit
and operation.
