We believe in the Stena way, and act within our values, showing respect for the environment and the communities in which we work. With an overarching aim to create further shared opportunities, all of our current Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives can be seen below:

We support the local community, with ventures such as the Stena 10k run, donations to the Young Carers Project and both local and national charities. We also care about international sustainability and development, and support stakeholders across all regions of our operations, with a specific emphasis on community initiatives and educational projects.

The new washroom facility has now been completed and opened on 12th September 2019, ready for the new academic year.

Rejoice Crankson, Unicon HR Manager opened the new facility with Glynn Dubber, Stena Drilling Base Manager, John Adjei, the schools Headmaster, Jefferey Quayson, Chairman of the school’s PTA, Municipal Chief Executive of the Effia- Kwesimintim Municipal Assembly, Honourable Kojo Acquah, various School Health and Education Personnel (SHEP) Coordinators from the Municipal Education Office, and most importantly all the school’s teachers and pupils, including prefects, Janet Koomson and Doreen Yeboah.

Upon opening the wash room John Adjei said:

The SMC/PTA, teachers and staff and entire student body of Whindo Assakae MA JHS wish to express our profound appreciation to your reputable organisation for providing us with this first class and much needed washroom facility.

We pledge to keep it well maintained!

We thank you for creating such an edifice and enabling environment for improving the quality of education... May God richly bless you.’

Also, in attendance were two Ghana Petroleum Commission officials: Kwadwo Asare Kyei- Local Content Manager and Alfred Ayah- Western Regional Manager.


Our team in Gibraltar donated 50 mattresses to the Care Agency who provide social care/welfare support within the territory.

Balmoral 10k

The Stena Drilling Tartan 10K takes you through some beautiful Highland scenery around the Balmoral Estate in the Scottish Highlands. Team Stena is always well represented with runners from almost every department taking part along with their families.


We provided financial assistance for the construction of an orphanage, together with regular donations of toys and clothes for the local children.
